The
camp is situated in Lamai beach or as many local people
call it "Ban Lamai". Lamai was once a small fishing
village inhabited with only local people but over the last
10 years or so it has grown into a warm and friendly community.
Lamai has kept most of its natural beauty and unlike other
beach side towns and villages, it still maintains its community
spirit which is why even here at the WMC Camp we see the
same faces who come back, year in and year out. As a MuayThai
camp we sponsor and support many of the local business which
has brought us great interaction locally, as a guest of
the WMC Camp this gets great deals and good service locally.
We also support many young children in need and we organise
many charity events for orphan kids which has given the
camp a great name around the Island. The camp has many different
services to offer its guests from Mountain bike rental to
Jeep hire, from Laundry service to island tour but what
ever you choose to do apart from your training that is,
it can all be arranged here at the camp.
There is also a fully equipped MUAYTHAI shop on the camp
premises, which can take care of all of your equipment needs
to very economical prices. Here you can get everything for
your training or we can organize all the equipment for your
club at great prices. The camp has an internet cafe with
in-house travel shop thus providing you with the same level
of service even when you make travel plans or just want
to contact a friend by phone, fax or internet e-mail.
The general atmosphere around the camp is, as you would
expect very laid back. That is until the scheduled training
times when the camp seems to burst into life. Every other
minute is peaceful and tranquil and the beach is only a
sixty-second walk away so you are never far from refreshing
swim in the turquoise waters of the Thai gulf.
You can also have a workout with some weights in the fully
equipped gymnasium that is also on the camp. This weights
room rivals most gyms and the added bonus of being out in
the fresh air. Being only a short walk away from the center
of Lamai itself all the usual attraction are at hand, restaurants,
shops, bars, travel agents and of course all the night life
you can handle.
There is a fully equipped kitchen and restaurant at the
camp .The kitchen can be at your disposal should you want
to be able to prepare your own meals or even just make your
self an early morning coffee. You can opt for organised
meals such as breakfast, lunch and dinner, which can be
provided at arranged times of the day to suit you.
All meals can be prepared in our kitchen and there is adjacent
seating in our restaurant area. If you so wish you can also
watch your favorite film in the afternoon or evening either
here at the camp or in one of the many restaurants in Lamai
who list and play the latest Hollywood blockbusters nightly.
